A New Stakes Winner For Dance With Ravens

BayonneRising through the ranks, BAYONNE made her stakes debut a winning one, as the 4-year-old filly by DANCE WITH RAVENS came from off the pace to run down the leaders and capture the $70,000 Pink Ribbon Stakes for fillies and mares at Charles Town on Sept. 22.

It was the third straight win for BAYONNE since she returned from a two-month layoff in mid-July. Trained by Jeffrey Cramer for Cramer Racing, BAYONNE completed seven furlongs in 1:25.40 in winning for the seventh time in 17 starts. The former claimer has been wonderfully consistent throughout her career, hitting the board seven additional times and has been worse than fourth only once in the past two years.

Bred in Maryland by Dark Hollow Farm and Herringswell Stables, BAYONNE is a half-sister to two stakes winners – NOT FOR LOVE’s son EIGHTTOFASTTOCATCH, and TWO PUNCH’s son STORM PUNCH.

DANCE WITH RAVENS is Maryland’s second-leading sire and sixth-ranked in the Mid-Atlantic region, with progeny earnings fast approaching $3 million in 2012. From his first four crops to race, he is the sire of seven stakes winners – six this year! And his incredibly hard-knocking runners include Charmingmegan, winner of four straight and six of 12 for the year.
