The bay 2-year-old gelding exploded down the stretch in the one mile maiden test before easily running away with a whopping 27 1/2- length romp on the main track.

FAIRBANKS is the leading freshman sire in the Mid-Atlantic region. The son of Giant’s Causeway, unraced at 2, proved a monster when the races got longer, getting six wins, all at distances greater than a mile, including the 1 1/4-mile Hawthorne Gold Cup Handicap-G2 and 1 1/8-mile Tokyo City Handicap-G3. His average winning margin was more than four and a half lengths. Also Grade 1 stakes-placed, FAIRBANKS earned $879,768 during his career.
