Northview Sires Way Above Average at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Old sale!

461 fairbanks foxyfriend 003ATwo juveniles from the first crop of FAIRBANKS sold for an average of $95,000—far surpassing the sale's $53,901 average—at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic's 2-year-olds in training sale, held May 21 and May 22 in Timonium.

Agent Buzz Chace spent $130,000 for a FAIRBANKS colt out of Foxy Friend (by Crafty Friend). A $50,000 Keeneland September yearling, the April colt was consigned with De Meric Sales. The Pennsylvania-bred is a half-brother to multiple graded stakes-placed Tap for Luck, from the family Grade 1 winner Five Star Flight.

Charles Zacney went $60,000 for a Pennsylvania-bred FAIRBANKS filly, who won’t actually turn 2 until next week (May 29). Out of the Forty Niner mare Option Contract, the dark bay sold by Eisaman Equine is a half-sister to stakes winner and $523,851-earner Shake the Dice. Her second dam is stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Infinite, and she decends from female line of the great broodmare Grey Flight.

The only 2-year-old by Dance With Ravens in the sale sold for $90,000 to Buzz Chace. Cary Frommer, agent, sent out the Maryland-bred colt, the second foal for the Not For Love mare Mass Romantic, and a grandson of graded winner G. O’Keefe.

The only Not For Love offered was a colt sold by De Meric Sales Agent. The Maryland-bred out of Parlez, by French Deputy, is a full brother to stakes winner Fools in Love. Tomrus LLC paid $67,000 for the colt, who was sold exactly two years to the day he was born.

Also selling was a Love of Money gelding, who brought $45,000 on a bid by Three Diamonds Farm. Named Stavelot and sold through the consignment of Cary Frommer, agent, he is out of the Partner’s Hero mare My Rib, who is a half-sister to stakes winner Undercover, from the family of Grade 1 winners Rose’s Cantina, Fancy Naskra and Montreal Red.
