Making his stakes debut, JUMP START’s 2-year-old son JUMP AND GO was easily the best in the $80,000 Oklahoma Classics Juvenile S. at Remington Park on Friday, Oct. 19, winning by a widening 3 1/2 lengths while defeating 10 rivals going six furlongs. It was the second win in a row for Beverly Lewis’s juvenile, who flew home nearly 6 lengths on top in September. Trained by Don Von Hemel, JUMP AND GO now has two wins and two seconds in five starts, with earnings of $79,995.
JUMP START now has three stakes-winning juveniles from his four winners this year! He is tied for second in the nation by number of 2-year-old stakes winners and has the highest percentage of stakes winners per starters among this year’s 2-year-old sires (three or more starters).
JUMP START’s leading earner among this year’s 2-year-olds is LADYSTARTURENGINE, who hasn’t been off the board in her five starts and captured the City of Anderson S. at Hoosier Park on Oct. 6 while banking $98,907. And the JUMP START filly ARSTAR has been first or second in all five of her starts while winning her last three, including the Buffalo S. and CTHS Sales S. at Assiniboia in her most recent efforts.
JUMP START has a total of 11 stakes winners to date in 2012, tops in the Northeast, including graded winners RAIL TRIP, SAN PABLO and OUTTA TUNE.
