SILVER TRAIN’s Zetterholm headed to Preakness

zetterholmWinter Park Partners’ ZETTERHOLM will be in the starting gate for the 137th Preakness S.-G1, trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. confirmed on Friday, May 11.

“We’re ready to roll,” Dutrow said of the New York-bred colt. “We don’t know if our horse can be doing any better. We’re very, very happy with him, and we have been for the last few months. He’s been fun to be around and we haven’t had to worry about anything with him.”

ZETTERHOLM got his first stakes win in his stakes debut in Aqueduct’s Patsyprospect S. on April 6, which was also his third victory in a row. The colt’s connections were so impressed by his progress – after a maiden special weight win on Feb. 4 and an allowance score on March 4, both at Aqueduct – that they paid the extra money to make him a late Triple Crown nominee. He will now be on the big stage in the middle jewel of the Triple Crown!
