The Southern Hemisphere has a new Gr. 1-winning juvenile, and she is a daughter of JUMP START! The sensational filly SERESTA made light work of the Estrellas Juvenile Fillies-G1 at San Isidro, one of the features on Argentina’s “Breeders’ Cup” card on June 27, scoring as the favorite by two and a half lengths in the one-mile test on the turf. Rated as the best horse competing in Argentina this past year on El Turf, it was SERESTA’s sixth win in seven starts. Earlier in the season she captured Gr. 2 Raul Aristegui, Gr. 3 Derli A. Gomez, Gr. 3 Fortunato Damiani and Gr. 3 Andres S. Torres.
Out of the Carson City mare Serata, SERESTA represents a Werk Nick Rating of A+++ *Triple Plus*. And the numbers continue to grow: 13 foals by JUMP START out of Carson City mares, 10 have started, eight are winners, and three are Gr. 1 stakes winners, including millionaire RAIL TRIP!
SERESTA is one of three stakes winners in the Southern Hemisphere for the 2014/2015 season for JUMP START, joining Gr.1-winning older runners IDOLO PORTENO and LIVINGSTONE.
JUMP START is the leading active Mid-Atlantic sire of 2015 by progeny earnings, has four stakes winners through June 29, and his half-dozen stakes-placed runners include graded runners PANTS ON FIRE, PRAYER FOR RELIEF and On the Loose Again. Just another sensational year for the region’s top sire!
