World-class, at the highest level. And E DUBAI stands right here in the Mid-Atlantic region!
It can't get any bigger than siring the winner of North America's richest race, the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic-G1. And E DUBAI has done it!
E DUBAI's 4-year-old son FORT LARNED led gate-to-wire in the 2012 mile and a quarter Breeders' Cup Classic, proving his heart, strength and determination with a grueling stretch drive to turn back Mucho Macho Man to win by a half-length at Santa Anita. In his first start on the West Coast, FORT LARNED defeated the best distance runners in the nation, and took home the $2.7 million first prize to boost his career earnings to $3,681,236. He is the richest runner in North America in 2012!
A son of the incomparable sire of sires Mr. Prospector, E DUBAI has made his mark on the international scene, both as a runner and as a sire.
A popular stallion in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, E DUBAI has sired such international stars as Italian champion ONCE MORE DUBAI, 2011 Gr.2 Godolphin Mile winner SKYSURFERS, 2008 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint hero DESERT CODE, a multiple graded stakes winner of $1,088,939, Panamanian Group 1 winner and champion EDUBAI DEL OCHO and Slovak Republic champion SHAMAL SALLY.
In his first seven crops to race, E DUBAI has sired 31 stakes winners and the earners of more than $30 million (through Nov. 3, 2012). Since 2007 (when his oldest runners were 3), his progeny earnings have exceeded $2 million a year.
E DUBAI had a great season in 2011, and has topped that in 2012! In 2011, he had international progeny earnings in excess of $5.3 million to rank among the top 40 sires in the nation. He was the leading sire in the Northeast in 2011 by number of stakes winners, with nine, and had 22 stakes horses for the year.
In 2012, he ranks in the top 10 nationally, with progeny earnings in excess of $7.5 million. And he has now made history, as his single season progeny earnings this year make him the richest North American stallion ever to stand outside of Kentucky!
Out of $683,828-earner WORDS OF WAR, a daughter of champion LORD AT WAR (ARG), E DUBAI is a half-brother to Gr.1 winner NO MATTER WHAT, the dam of European champion 2-year-old filly and millionaire RAINBOW VIEW, graded stakes winner and four-time Gr.1-placed JUST AS WELL, plus multiple graded stakes winner WINTER VIEW. His family includes English champion RAVEN’S PASS (out of a graded stakes-winning full sister to WORDS OF WAR), winner of the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Classic-G1 at Santa Anita.
Winner of the Gr. 2 Dwyer S. at 3 and second to that year’s horse of the year, POINT GIVEN, in the Gr. 1 Travers S., E DUBAI was never worse than second in six starts at 3, with additional runner-up performances in the Gr. 1 Super Derby and Gr. 2 Peter Pan S. At 4, E DUBAI defeated the likes of champions LIDO PALACE (CHI) and MACHO UNO in the Gr.2 Suburban H. From 11 starts, he earned just shy of $1 million.
